This print is part of the Washington on the Brazos Association’s For the Love of Texas project. For this project, the Association asked notable Texans to select their favorite photo, autograph it, and describe what they love most about Texas.

About Randy Matson
Randy Matson is an Olympic track and field athlete who competed for the United States. He is among the greatest shot putters of all-time and at one point held the world record for distance. He won the silver medal for shot put in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and the gold medal in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics.
